One of the most important things was your accessibility. Whenever work is being done on your house, you need answers and you were always a phone call away. You kept to deadlines except when workers prevented it and then your help was valuable because they wanted to do a good job so you would give them more business. The master bath and bedroom was absolutely wonderful and still gives us so much pleasure. The living room built in and furniture, I absolutely love what we did there. The floor in there turned out beautifully as did the dining room tile and furniture. Most people walk in to those rooms and say they are absolutely wonderful and so happy. After planning and building my dream home, there were so many things in that first year that needed to be done! As an interior decorator, getting all of my furniture placed and finding the right accent pieces took the better part of the first year. When I felt that every piece finally
found its' place, I knew the time had come for the final statement, my windows.

It would be a big job and the right treatment was so essential, I knew I had to be very careful in choosing the right person to do this.  I saw some of Laurie's work at her showroom Decorative Interiors.  There, hanging in the window, were "my" drapes. I knew immediately that if this was the example of what could be done, then my home was in the right hands.

Per your request, we are happy to write a testimonial describing how you helped us through the design process we experienced with you. From the beginning there was a great sense of what we were looking for from the relationship. You understood that we had a strong idea of what we liked and did not like and were patient with our feedback and requests. You were sensitive to our budget and were generous with your time. At no time did we feel pressure to do something where we were unsure or uncomfortable; whether related to time, money or style.


We love our bedroom. The feeling is very comfortable and relaxing which is exactly what we need given our crazy schedules. The Venetian plaster work that Betsy did is awesome and the ceiling touch was a great suggestion! The way the bedroom and sunroom work together is fantastic. The curtains make it so cozy and are so functional at the same time. We appreciate your patience as we were trying to find all the right fabrics, the search paid off. Every time we walk into the room, we notice how great it looks.

The assistance in picking the paint color and curtains for the kitchen was very helpful. I’m still delighted with all of our selections and have no remorse for any of the choices we’ve made. (You never really know until you’ve lived with it for a while so it seems to have stood the test.)
